The doctor himself is very thorough, kind, professional, and explains the process in great detail.

The procedure seems to have been done well. In particular, the decision to biopsy the scar tissue struck me as admirably proactive. His communication after the procedure was succinct, but clear and complete.

I was emotional at the beginning of the procedure because I lost a young relative to colon cancer, and he did not even ask what was the matter. Such a simple thing to do. Then when he sent a note about the polyp in MyChart, his first sentence was, “the tumor appears benign.” First, nobody told me I had a “tumor,” so this was news to me. Second, it’s a neuroendocrine tumor and my doctor had confirmed that there’s no such thing as a benign NET—they’re all cancer. This kind of news warranted a call.
