Saw me quickly, quickly found solutions for my issues and made a quick referral. In an age where patients often wait in the waiting room well beyond their appointment time and then wait even longer to see the doctor, this was extremely refreshing.

He is a good listener and although he was filling in for my primary care doctor, I know that my husband has had Dr. Carsten as his primary physician and liked him a lot too.

Did not listen to me fully. Kept my symptoms are for a Covid even though I took a test and it was negative. Took the test again with him and it was negative. Wouldn’t test for tick-borne diseases like I asked. Gave me antibiotics as if I had to take for a disease but then told me that he thinks it’s just a virus. After taking one anabiotic I’m feeling 1 million times better but still have no blood panel to show that I have a tick borne disease. So yes, I felt unheard and still have concerns with my health.

I only met and talked with him this once, so it's not like I know him well. But he is friendly, listened to me talk on and on, and allayed my fears that a muscle strain was something worse.
