This was my first time visit Dr. Axe. He seems nice and knowledgeable. I can’t give a 10 just yet since it was just an initial visit.

He is very thorough in talking about medical issues but is lacking compassion. I struggle with losing weight and the constant badgering makes me want to go home and eat two pies. I asked about a diet pill to help me but it was clear that any help like that would be contingent upon making an appointment with the dietician first. I’ve met with dieticians before and that route is not helpful for me. Different people need different solutions. I mentioned that I haven’t been sleeping well and like most women, when I go to bed, I start making “lists” in my head of all of the things I have to get done. Dr. Axe said, “make the lists before you go to bed.” Not exactly helpful. I am about to sign up for Medicare and a BCBS supplemental plan which include Dr. Axe so I have been reluctant to switch doctors but I just can’t deal with this harping on my weight anymore—at least not unless I am allowed to have a say in my treatment.

I was there for pre op appointment for back surgery. He asked about pain. It’s not bad now because i quit my job and exercise ( the ones I can do) and go to the pool). Took a year. But he focused on my weight. He thought that was my main primary issue knowing nothing about me and my struggles. He have me a pamphlet and it was for bariatric surgery. My family has history of bad knees as well. He just came at me after making jokes. He was so bad I left so upset.
