He’s awesome, kind, honest, and very respectful! He actually actively listens to you and tries to find a solution to your concerns rather than take the easy nonchalant way out of things. For that I thank you!

The doctor is clearly very knowledgeable and an excellent physician. Some constructive feedback I would offer is that he could do a better job of listening to his patients. He often interrupts and talks over the patient as something is being explained. Or, thinks he knows what you are going to say and cuts you off, when that was not what you were going to say at all. This may not be his fault, though. It could be that Northwestern health system is not allowing this physician enough time to do his visits with patients properly and that he feels rushed, or behind, or under a lot of pressure to get through the string of patients as fast as he can to be more 'productive.' Giving this doctor more time to interact with a patient could allow him to slow down, take a breath, and actually listen to a patient and what they are saying. This would then allow him to deliver better medicine, improve patient experience, and also would likely reduce any potential mistakes made by not spending enough time to get to know what's truly going on with the patient. So, yes, I would suggest slowing down and stop interrupting and talking over patients, but then I would also say to the larger managerial decision maker in charge that this doctor (and perhaps others like him) need more time so they do not feel so under the gun to get the patient out the door. Denying that time is likely penny-wise but pound-foolish, as the saying goes. A more accurate diagnosis and a better patient experience will pay off in the long run and save on costs.
