Dr Samra was excellent. I was prepared for my appointment with 71/2 years of my blood test data from Quest, along with all of my recent surgeries and other items that from my own research I thought might be important for the issue I was seeing him for. He took time to go over every single one of my items, assessed the importance or non importance of each issue I had, analyzed with me the 7 1/2 years of data, showed me the ones that were most important, then told me how we were going to proceed. I couldn't have been more favorably impressed by his professionalism, analytical skills, and decision making of how to proceed based on the info I provided to him. I have already highly recommended him to several people.

I liked the professionalism of the team. Dr. Samra was amazingly patient and caring with me. The whole experience was extremely positive given the circumstance. I was very anxious going in and not at all anxious coming out, irrespective of the fact that the news was not all that positive. Also, the physical plant is amazing.

The staff there from the 1st floor receptionist, the lab crew, the oncology/surgical receptionist the oncology/ surgical team and the physicians, have kind, compassionate and readily available to help me with my journey of my cancer diagnosis. It has been a very organized process at MD Anderson. I am so grateful to my own PCP and GI MD that guided me to MD Anderson. My surgeon was wonderful and his team has been so attentive to my needs and any questions, issues that I have had and can be easily contacted if I do have a problem. My oncologist has been very helpful in explaining the after surgery plan of chemotherapy. I had a telehealth appointment with the oncologist l. I came in the sign the consent. The office staff had the pharmacist come and talk to me about my chemo, explain all the side effects and he answered all my questions. I went to the pharmacy and they were great to get me all my information in to a service that makes the chem a decent price. I had my medication in hand that day. I had no in office appointment, but they all made it all happen. My cancer diagnosis came as a shock and surprise. iIt was found incidentally assessing for anther abnormal finding in my bloodwork. Time was of the essence in my case and all the testing and scans were quickly performed and ultimately surgery. I can't say enough about MDAnderson.

The nurse that brought me to the room and did vitals was very nice and caring. She made me feel important and comfortable. The nurse navigator came in and talked with me. Both nurses were very compassionate and kind. I was given information on the best way to contact them for any questions about my care following the appointment. The Dr. was also kind and listened to me. He proposed a treatment and asked if I was comfortable with the treatment or if I had questions or concerns. When I went to the lab for bloodwork the technician was nice as well. I had a wonderful experience and know my treatment will go well.
