Initial contact was by Telehealth (zoom). My first experience with zoom. I had very good help with zoom on my end. I was not impressed. The reason for the appointment with Dr. MacFalda was for prescription coverage since my local (Alpena) doctor closed his practice. When it became necessary to have another appointment to continue the prescription availability, my wife and I were extremely pleased to be able to schedule it in Alpena to avoid the all day trip to Midland. We were MUCH more impressed with the in person visit. My wife is an [OCCUPATION] and I have her accompany me on my appointments to explain to me the tech jargon later to me. We also do an evaluation of the service, post visit. Dr. MacFalda got our highest rating following our in person session. We connected! Not so with the tele-health visit. Tele-health may work well for some visits and for some individuals, but I would be cautious in recommending it as a universal solution. Overall I would highly recommend Dr. Macfalda to others

He listened , went over my next CT that could be related to my migraines. I appreciated it. Follow up with my migraines, good discussion for prevention. Glad he is coming up to Alpena now monthly to see patients.

This was my first visit with Dr. MacFalda. It took 6 months to get in to see him. He and his nurse were very thorough and kind. The front office staff (where I checked in/out, and scheduled next appointment) was rude, had an attitude, and was unprofessional. She made 2 snide remarks and acted as if I were a nuisance. The Dr. had written 3-4 month follow up on my next appointment note. When she gave me a date of more than 4 months away I questioned if he had earlier availability. Her reply was “unless you want to drive to Alpena, this is what you get”.

Felt like provider didn’t want to listen and was wanting to get somewhere else. I don’t go often and had serious concerns this visit and he was just abrupt. It was actually upsetting I stayed with him as a provider even though he’s tier 2 and will have to pay out of pocket more, may just make the switch now

Doctor McFalda has been treating me for some time now. I have MG plus other issues, and he has been patient with me for trying new medications to help me live a more comfortable life, and I appreciate all he has done for me.
