My first visit to MD Anderson. The staff and facilities were above my expectations. It was a stressful time for me, but I left there with all my questions answered and had a plan for the next steps. Everything was discussed and explained in terms I could understand. I certainly do not have a medical background, but I left understanding next steps.

Always walking into office, Meredith greets you with a smile. She has been so helpful with any questions that I have. Dr. Cavaliere is probably the kindest Doctor I have ever interacted with. He is highly intelligent with a beautiful bedside manner.

Dr Cavaliere is such a wonderful physician. On 2 occasions he has been asked by another physician to see me and the 1st time he saw me within 2 days of the consulting doctor‘s request. My first visit was on 11/2/2023 and by 11/7/23 he was able to tell me the primary site of brain metastases. When I followed up with him on 11/07/23 the CT scan report revealed that the abdomen had been scanned but not the chest and pelvis (which he had ordered). He and his staff called the CT technologist and asked him to scan the chest and pelvis that afternoon. He looked at the scan right after it had been completed and told me that the primary site was in the chest. I was very fortunate that Dr [last name], the neurologist who ordered a routine brain MRI, consulted Dr Cavaliere.
He was consulted by Dr [last name] just a couple of days ago and I received an appointment with him a few days later. At the time of that visit he informed that my Brain MRI showed an abnormality that he recommend a Spinal Tap be performed so the spinal fluid could be tested - he went and talked to the ARNP and asked him to schedule a date to do the procedure. The ARNP came and told me that if I wanted have have the spinal tap now he would be able to do it right then. He and the nurse that assisted him in doing the spinal tap were so competent, calm and reassuring that the spinal tap was a piece of cake (or is it pie?)

I recently had the opportunity to visit MD Anderson Neurology department for a new patient appointment, and I wanted to share my experience.
First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the compassionate care I received from the entire team. The staff was welcoming, and they took their time to answer all my questions, which made me feel more at ease during a challenging time.
Dr. Cavaliere and APRN Patrick demonstrated exceptional knowledge and compassionate care, dedicating time to thoroughly review and explain the images in a manner that was both clear and easy to understand. They took great care to address any concerns with precision and clarity, offering thoughtful and reassuring answers. Additionally, they developed a comprehensive follow-up plan tailored to ensure ongoing monitoring and continued care. Their approach reflects a deep commitment to patient-centered support, reaffirming my confidence in their ability to provide thorough and empathetic healthcare. Overall, their professionalism and kindness made a meaningful difference in my experience.
Overall, my experience at the Neurology department was positive. I felt cared for and respected throughout my treatment journey. Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and support. Your hard work does not go unnoticed!

The two dr’s i saw were extremely knowledgeable and more importantly personable. Best bedside manner from a dr I’ve experienced in years and i have loads of medical issues. It truly makes a world of difference to have a dr you can talk to that’s actively listening and not trying to rush you out the door.
