Dr. Smallwood spent real time listening and assessing. He was straight forward and real, but respectful, patient, and kind. I left feeling validated and very confident in his competency as my doctor. Please give him my thanks. I normally get services from the VA and dread interactions with their mental health staff. The Lee Behavioral Health staff were just really nice, and didn’t come across jaded or irritable by patients. It was really nice to see what professional patient services should look like. The facility just had a positive healing vibe and was overall a relieving experience.

Dr. Smallwood has changed the way I look at my over all health, for someone with a couple [ ]. I would rather be seeing him every few months than finding a therpist, he makes me feel seen and cared about. Dr. Smallwood is an amazing doctor.

Dr Smallwood is an incredible listener and picks up on small comments I make in passing and is able to drill down on those topics I never would have thought to consider as important. He has a thoughtful and fresh perspective that I’ve not seen in my years seeking mental healthcare. He’s an incredible Dr and I’m so thankful have found him

Dr. Smallwood is one of the greatest Drs I've very seen! He is very polite and courteous and takes his time with each patient. I appreciate the time he took with me to get to know me and my situation of what I'm going through. I definitely think there should be more doctors like him. As I've experienced in the past doctors just want to push you through. This is not the case with Dr Smallwood he took plenty of time looking at everything and letting me explain my situation. I would gladly share him with close friends and family. I'm actually excited to see him again to see what else we will be doing in the future towards my health.

Dr Ron Smallwood stands apart by with the highest IQ able to have an extraordinary sense for brilliant listening & intuitive sixth sense suggestions, head on which he is excited ... about and that encouragement ..is like seeing Sun flowers in a field ... Ya Doctor Smallwood & you all & clinic manager for defending me from where me had bad past experiences with former doctor name Doctor [ ] was told other day on [ ] that if Doctor [ ] tries reaching out to me then he would be held accountable thanks for you all suggested that Doctor [ ] isn’t allowed to talk with me since been taken advantage from Doctor [ ] past years. Doctor Smallwood is much kinder to me . Doctor Smallwood is better who is more professional kinder to me .

Dr Smallwood is caring and very patient with me but he isn’t condescending. He is well versed in his field and isn’t afraid to share his knowledge with me so I can understand my illness. I travel 5 hours to see him and it’s worth it. Bottom line is he’s a great Doctor.

The entire practice staff is very professional and caring. I feel especially fortunate to find a doctor, Dr Smallwood, who is so compassionate and attentive to my ongoing mental health needs. He also discusses test results in relation to my overall health which is very helpful. He and his staff are real assets to Lee Behavioral Health.

I feel very comfortable with doctor Smallwood. He listens and offers the guidance that you need when asked.
