Rod Szymanski has been my primary care physician for several years now. He is first-rate. He is caring, knowledgeable and responsive. Although very competent in his own right, he knows when he needs to refer to a specialist. He doesn’t pretend to know what he doesn’t know and is willing to learn. Also, as busy as he is, I rarely feel rushed. Finally, he gets things done. He orders procedures, prescriptions and referrals on the spot and makes sure his staff follows up immediately.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Rod is a conscientious, intelligent and caring health care professional. He has extensive knowledge of his field and is willing to continue learning. Rod recognizes his limitations as a general practitioner and refers to specialists when he knows he needs to do so. Also, he takes specialists’ recommendations seriously and incorporates them into his own diagnoses and views. In my experience, Rod listens carefully to my concerns and always takes into account my feelings about all proposed treatments and courses of action. I rarely feel rushed although i know he is often under great time pressure. Bottom line: I am very pleased with his care.

I was impressed with the thorough questioning and examination by Rodney. As a result, he did more than prescribe meds, he also scheduled me for trays to determine the extent of my injury/ problem.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
I would recommend Rodney Szymanski to anyone in need of medical attention. He’s always very thorough with his exams and will order whatever tests or procedure he deems necessary to try to make a definitive diagnosis. Also, he will prescribe any medication needed to treat the symptoms. And, one of his nurse assistants always follows up by sending me a message or calling to let me know of any test results or other recommendations. Rodney is a great physician’s assistant.

Rodney was amazing very kind and caring. Went above and beyond for my care and took the time to explain things to me in a way which made me feel he genuinely cared. He’s a rockstar and a wonderful asset for that office. Definitely one of my best experiences with mid michigan care.

I’ve been a patient of Rodney’s for approximately the past 7 years. I have never had a need to be seen when I wasn’t able to get in same day or the next day at the latest. Office staff are competent and friendly.
