My daughter was very nervous and upset to receive 2 vaccinations and the staff were very accommodating and comforting.

Very knowledgeable. Gives natural remedies as well as prescriptions. Very thorough and friendly.

We love Dr. Beckman! He is so thorough, caring, knowledgeable, and helpful. We cannot share in words how thankful we are for him and how much we appreciate having him as our pediatrician.

Dr. Beckman is very attentive and truly listens to me and my child. He is thoughtful in his responses, and does a great job explaining things. He is a phenomenal physician.

Dr. Beckman always listens to our concerns and answers our questions. He knows our child’s history well and gives our child a voice.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Dr. Beckman was amazing. He listened to my concerns and was very helpful. His nursing staff, however, seemed incompetent and lacking. At our last appointment the nurse forgot to change the paper liner on the scale and asked me to lay my child down on another child's feces. I was disturbed and asked her to change it.

Dr. Beckman is an excellent doctor. He is a doctor that truly cares for his patients. He is very thorough and thoughtful with each patient in his care.

Dr. Beckman is extremely knowlegable and helpful. He obviously cares a great deal about his patients. His nurse is very nice and professional. The only trouble I ever have with the office is getting call backs or messages returned, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of that has been due to switching systems. We had one incident where Dr. Beckman told us to come in a week after our son was in the ER for Covid and RSV (wasn't admitted), but the office scheduled us 3 weeks out, and Dr. Beckman was very unhappy with that.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
I honestly felt like I wasn’t listened to. I’m not sure if it was a lack of communication between staff on what we were really there for or not. But, I simply wanted our son’s neck nodules (which were just little lymph nodes) to be checked. Instead, I received a well visit minus the shots since we didn’t want them. I wasn’t pleased with this since his neck nodules weren’t even addressed until we were about to leave, and I had to ask for them to be checked. I did NOT want or need a well visit for my child and wasn’t expecting his diaper to come off an have that checked out too. I was not happy about this at all and left the office crying. And the nurse seemed agitated that my son didn’t want to be weighed or take his shoes off, to which I said, “It’s fine, he was just weighed. We’ll just skip this, and this is his weight…” I was hoping for a better experience, and I appreciate the holistic-ness of his approach. But all in all I was disappointed and will not be back.

So thankful Dr.Beckman is my son’s pediatrician. He is a simply amazing physician.

What could have been done to improve your experience?
Wait time was a long time in the waiting room, plus waiting for vaccines, and even checking out was quite the long wait. Especially with a crabby baby since she just had shots. I wish the check in and out times were much shorter.

Recognition and correction of tongue tie
What could have been done to improve your experience?
Office/receptionist [removed employee name]. Was very unhelpful and condescending when we were trying to coordinate shots for our daughter. We were told we were able to get them, then not the day of the appointment. We ultimately were able to but her lack of knowledge and coordination with the doctor led to a lot of unnecessary stress on our end.

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
Dr. Beckman is an amazing physician. It is reassuring and comforting to have his calm yet confident demeanor on the other end of a health problem that needs solving for my child, whether it be during a routine checkup or a more emergent situation. Simply put, there needs to be more doctors like him in the world.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
Dr. Beckman’s expertise in pediatrics is truly outstanding. I am very thankful my son has him for a physician.

What could have been done to improve your experience?
More staff at receptionist windows. When trying to check in, there have been people registering a lot of information which is time consuming, and the wait time to check in has been a bit excessive.

What could have been done to improve your experience?
My child was clearly afraid of the doctor’s office. The nurse tried to help me persuade my child to get their vitals taken but at no point in the 15 minutes we were there did Dr. Beckman try to ease my child’s concern or do anything to create a safe and welcoming experience. He simply told us “this isn’t going to work.”

Dr.Beckman always makes us feel like we are in good hands. He is always good at explaining things and once he gets in the room for your appointment , he doesn’t make things seem rushed

What could have been done to improve your experience?
Better at answering the phone. It always go to voicemail. Rings and rings. No one answers ever. Usually takes 30 minutes or longer to actually get anyone to answer the phone. It’s frustrating

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
Not only is Dr. Beckman able to treat my son in a thorough and intelligent way, but my son as well as all my other children respect Dr. Beckman, which in my opinion is also a very important and crucial aspect in receiving effective care and treatment. The ability to have a good rapport with his patients where they in turn respect his guidance helps greatly with their healing process. Dr. Beckman does an amazing job in the overall medical care that he provides for my children. He is a solid, level-headed, and logical pediatrician who assesses situations accurately and communicates clearly.

What could have been done to improve your experience?
Timeliness in this office has been a huge issue for us. Each appointment takes over an hour. For example, after being seen by the physician, checking out took 20 minutes.

Son was the first patient at 8:00. But did not get called back till 8:45. I know there is a new EMR but 45 minutes to wait, especially being the first patient of the day, is unacceptable.

Dr. Beckman is a phenomenal physician. I am so thankful to have him as a pediatrician for my children. He is very patient, kind, courteous, and intelligent. He is able to sort out issues and provide helpful advice to apply to them in a practical way. Dr. Beckman is hands down a wonderful doctor.

The appointment went very well and very smoothly. I am happy with the care that Dr. Beckman provided.

My son’s appointment was thorough & covered all of my questions and concerns. The office was calming enough to where my son felt comfortable, and his anxiety of needing to go to the doctor eased once we were there and he realized he was fine.

Dr. Beckman is an outstanding doctor who truly cares for his patients. He goes above and beyond by giving a phone number where questions/concerns can be answered after hours or on weekends. He responds promptly. He always listens. I value his opinion and I believe my child’s needs are met to the best possible standards.

As we have developed a relationship with Dr. Beckman over the past 4 years, I have grown to respect him. I appreciate his knowledge and ability to communicate expectations of what is considered normal with my child's development. I think he is always looking out for the child's best interest. His MA Jen is respectful, kind and caring. She has helped talk through concerns over the phone, listens to the situation and provides great support. Thank you both!

Well I got rescheduled on twice in one month, so that was very upsetting due to traveling a hour to get there.

Dr. Beckman is an absolutely amazing doctor. He is so knowledgeable, very level-headed, and extremely patient. I only have good things to say about Dr. Beckman. I am super blessed to have him as my children’s physician. He has done an excellent job in helping to get their health where it needs to be. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Beckman.

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
Not only does Dr. Beckman take his time with his patients and their families at every appointment, he responds quickly to texts when children are ill. He goes above and beyond to make sure you understand and are updated on your child and their illness. We were recently recommended by Dr. Beckman to go to the ER with out daughter. We were seen and had a 2 night hospital stay to monitor her breathing. We were seen the night we were admitted to the unit upstairs but the next day there wasn't a doctor that rounded to see my daughter at all. The next morning a Dr rounded and said Dr. Beckman would be in to see her for possible discharge. We were definitely relieved to not only see a familiar face, but someone who we have the utmost trust in. He made sure to ask all the right questions and made sure we knew what was going on from start to finish when we were left a little bit in an unknown for our stay. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Beckman! We appreciate him so much!

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
Dr. Beckman is the sole reason I still utilize the local hospital system after being burned in the past by arrogant staff. His ability to guide a parent through an illness is extremely helpful and his treatment choices are excellent. His respect for the parent’s choice is outstanding and I recommend him often to other parents.

Dr. Robert j Beckman is the best! Finally got answers for why my daughter had a cough for so long. Would totally recommend him to anyone!

What could have been done to improve your experience?
I understand everyone is short staffed at businesses and our wait to be seen was super long. It was close to 2 hours. We had a follow up and well child appt. Doctor came in asked a couple questions and was done. Didn't check my son over completely like he usually does.

My daughter was having a tantrum during the visit, and Doctor Beckman and the staff handled it very well. They remained calm and we're not judgemental. Doctor Beckman gave me suggestions on how to handle the tantrums she has been having.

I am always impressed with Dr. Beckmans advice and his ability to tell you how it is without dancing around things. I enjoy the straight forward telling it how it is.

What could have been done to improve your experience?
Be open to parents wanting to use healthier options to manage things within reason such as ear infections, minor rashes, etc. Also to understand that he only gets a small snapshot of information regarding my child's lifestyle.

Dr. Beckham has been my kids doctor last 10 years, he is always very blunt and stright to the point. But in a good way. He always making sure the child gets the best care.

What could have been done to improve your experience?
Dr. Beckman is the kind of doctor that everyone should have. My kids are extremely lucky and blessed to have him as their pediatrician. I am also lucky and blessed to have someone like him for the professional care of my children. Having Dr. Beckman for a pediatrician takes a lot of stress off my plate when raising children with special needs. He is a doctor who I can trust to help me make the right decisions I need regarding the kind of care my children need. He is very patient, very understanding, easy to communicate with, and possesses a high level of intelligence. These traits help him in formulating customized treatment plans that are thorough and effective for the patient.

Yes, he is an outstanding Doctor. If he wasn't here I would take my children downstate for care.
