My excellent ophtalmologist (Dr. Athanasios George) referred my wife and me to Dr. Desai for a specialized consult. We have now been patients of Dr. Desai for more than two years. We have full confidence in his expertise and skills. Very thorough, takes the time necessary, good advice and information, takes prompt preventive and curative action as needed. Highly recommended.

Dr. Hooten is an excellent Ophthalmologist that I have been seeing for three years. She is responsible for saving my eyesight and life.
Thank goodness The Retinal Group of Washington was open and able to see me on a Saturday after a holiday. Dr. Hooten diagnosed my condition and told me to go directly to the emergency room. She gave me a letter with her diagnosis to give to the nurses on duty. I went to the Washington Hospital Center because they have all specialty doctors on duty 24/7.
I am forever grateful to Dr. Hooten and the staff at RGW for working after the holidays, they are saving people’s lives and eyesight.

Dr hooten was very proactive in realizing that the pressure test done by a technician on my right eye seemed exceptionally high. She performed the test again and the results revealed that her reading was much more accurate.

Dr. Claudia Hooten is the VERY BEST !!! Her caring, kowledge of eye disease, calmness and professionalism is beyond impressive. I'm so glad her practice is at a hospital close to me.

I’ve Been A Patient of Dr. Desai for ‘Over’ 10 Years❗️Since After He ’Saved’ My Sight When I Had a ’Partially Detached ’Retina’ Just As I Was About to Retire from my Teaching Possition in MCPS. I Didn’t Realize How ’Bad’ of a Problem Which I Had. As My Sister Heard Me Describe My Situation, We Were Refered to Dr. Desai He Performed Emergency Re-Attachment of my ’Right Retina’- All While My ’Sister Stayed w-Me Aa I Went through the Procedure.
I’ve Continued to See Dr. Desai for Yearly Checkups - to Maintain my ‘ Stability’- Which Dr. Desai Has ‘Ensured’. ‘I Highly’ Recommend Dr. Desai to ‘Others’ Requiring ‘Retina Maintenance.
