Dr. Lucy Xu extended the courtesy of seeing me on an urgent basis (only ~4 hours after symptoms appeared and an appointment was requested). She conducted a thorough exam, identified and explained the problem, and patiently answered questions. I am much looking forward to returning to RGW's Columbia facility for follow-up visits with Dr. Xu to continue benefiting from her medical knowledge, skill, and experience preserving vision.

Dr. Xu is the BEST! Not just b/c my treatments & surgery have been successful but b/c her approach to me has been no nonsense. I need that. Bedside manner top notch. I go in to her office w/any questions I might have and Dr. Xu answers them all. I feel very blessed to have found her.

Dr Xu IS VERY THOROUGH, explains any answers to questions I have , and is very reasonable in her doling out my eye injections at every visit to her office.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Reid for about five years. Aside from her skill as a retina specialist, she’s got a fabulous personality and fantastic “bedside” manner. Doctors have to be able to demonstrate compassion without investing their emotions in their patients. She should be teaching this skill to young docs.
