We’ve been seeing Dr. Sawaya for 6 years, and I can’t say enough good things. She always goes above and beyond to make sure my children are well cared for. What truly stands out is how attentively she listens to all my concerns, no matter how small. Her compassion and thoroughness makes each visit a positive experience. I feel so fortunate to have found such a caring and knowledgeable pediatrician and would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Sawaya has always listened to my concerns about my children and made sure we felt supported. She goes above and beyond for her patients and I would recommend her to anyone!

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
We love Dr. Sawaya and the nurses are always great. However, I don’t love holding my child down for shots. It’s traumatizing and a practice that needs to change.

Dr. Sawaya is bright, friendly and keeps it real. She talks to kids and parents with respect. We tried various pediatricians and Dr. Sawaya is a keeper. She has offered guidance and compassion in all care. We could not ask for anything more.

How wonderful and compassionate their office and team is. How experienced, open minded the staff is, and personable they are with all of their patients due to the fact they care. Wouldn't trust my son's care to any other provider.

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
Dr. Rachel Sawaya is so kind, understanding, and truly cares for her patients. When we have a problem, she always gets to the bottom of it. My kids love her! She always has a smile, she has a way with making my children feel comfortable and safe.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
Everything was wonderful.

Dr. Sawaya and her staff always go above and beyond to make my children feel comfortable and happy during their visits. I am always so very impressed with the care they receive!

The front desk staff are always so friendly and helpful! The nurses are so friendly and kind. They are so sweet to the kids. We had shots this visit and the nurse was an absolute pro.

The care my children receive from Dr.Sawaya and her staff is outstanding. My children are always happy and feel so comfortable in their care. We always have every question asked and staff from medical to front desk are always so helpful and encouraging. It means so much to have the support of this office and to feel like my kids’ health is a priority. From well checks to urgent care visits with Dr. Sawaya, the plan of care gives me peace of mind. As a mom that means the most; to trust them with my kids well being.

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
Dr. Sawaya and her staff are friendly, efficient and comforting. Dr. Sawaya always listens to our concerns as they relate to our children, and helps to come up with a plan. I always feel like our sons are well taken care of, be it a well or sick visit. My oldest child is excited to go to the Doctors because of the positive experiences he has had.

Dr Sawaya did an amazing job with being respectful of my shy teenager. She was very patient with him and made sure he felt comfortable. The nurse was also very patient with my son as well.

Dr. Sawaya and her office always handle our family soo wonderful. I’m soo glad we chose her to be our son [Name]’s pediatrician. Her genuine care as well as the rest of the staffs demeanor always makes for a pleasant visit, always! I remember our first visit after birth, and it was soo easy to talk to her, and she had the biggest smile. We were immediately at ease. Her guidance and knowledge is soo greatly appreciated throughout this amazing journey of parenthood. We feel very lucky to have had such a positive experience at My Michigan Health! Thank you Dr. Sawaya! 💙

The friendliness of the staff is always exceptional and I appreciate Dr. Sawaya always taking the time to talk with me and address concerns/questions. She always makes me feel that she cares and has the time for us.

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
I'm always impressed with how the staff treat my kid. The front desk was warm to him, the nurses were friendly and patient, and Dr. Sawaya is always so full of energy, patience, and kindness. Its also great to see her engage my kid and let him test her equipment, or make it more understandable for him. My kid refers to her as his friend because of how comfortable she makes him feel! We couldn't ask for a better pediatrician.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
I believe there was a resident (dark blue scrubs) who handled [my son's] vitals. While kind, she seemed a little flustered with his energy levels and wasn't quite as communicative with him. Just a learning opportunity since focusing and engaging kids at the same time can be tricky.
