What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
There were a fleet of people in the room for my exam. The doctor, her nurse, a nursing assistant in training and a doctor in training. I didn’t think this was great at all new patient appointment.

Dr Vandevelde is great. She took the time to explain everything and go over all the risks and benefits of my procedure. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. I didn’t feel rushed at all. I would recommend her to all of my friends and family. I will say though that the scheduling/referral staff experience was not the greatest. I was referred in May for a routine consult. I called in July and left a message with the scheduler with my name and number just asking for an update. I still didn’t hear anything until I reached out to a friend at the end of August. The scheduler told me that since it was ordered routine that’s why they did not call me. I told her it was routine…. In May. It’s now been several months and I left a message to be updated. I feel like this could be handled better. I am happy I stuck it out to wait for her because she is knowledgeable and kind. I hope that the delay in scheduling isn’t preventing her from getting referrals.

Took 3 months to get my appointment scheduled then, I was told the day I was given was not scheduled and had no proof of me talking to anyone. I arrived on time for my appointment after all that and was canceled because I wasn't 15 minutes early and I was documented as a no show for that appointment. When I asked if that could be removed I was told no

The overall care exceeded expectation. Every person I had contact with was kind and helpful. The nurse who did my initial review of charts was extremely thorough and diligent. She listened to me carefully and asked follow-up questions as needed. The doctor was extremely kind and an excellent teacher for both the resident and me. It’s clear that she is very good at her job and takes her job very seriously. Keep up the great work!

I’ve never felt more welcomed and treated so kindly from office staff. Dr. Vandevelde was extremely patient and kind, She made me feel so relaxed and heard. I felt like she was the most knowledgeable doctor so far in this area that understood HRT therapy and made me feel very comfortable about a plan moving forward. I got the appointment quickly because of a cancellation, and I had very little wait to get in a room. She gave me a generous amount of time never making me feel rushed at all. The office staff was beyond anything I have experienced in years! I truly had lost hope of being treated like more than a name on a to-do chart for the day. Boy, “nice” and “kind” go a LONG way! Highly recommend this office and Dr.Vandevelde.

I highly recommend Dr. Van De Veldt. She is very compassionate and an excellent communicator. She explains in detail her findings and procedures to be performed. She schedules follow up appointments to review procedure, explain any additional treatment and answer any questions. Very happy for referral from primary physician.

I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Van De Veldt by my attending physician. She is very thorough and performed all necessary procedures to rule out potential serious issues and removed a benign polyp which could have turned into a larger problem. She is very kind and personable and thoroughly explains what she is testing for and describes the procedure in detail.

Typically my experience at this office is pleasant (as pleasant as it could be for a doctors office) but this time I was disappointed with the communication about my follow up appointments. I was scheduled with a different provider for a follow up and I didn’t know until I checked MyChart a couple days later. I typically wouldn’t mind but this time I’m upset with the fact that I wasn’t told and I’ve had quite a few concerns the last 12 months and now I’m seeing a provider I’m unfamiliar with. This will be my 4th provider in as many years at this office. When I called and expressed my concern, I was told my appointment couldn’t be changed. I would say I’m disappointed with communication.

I am a new patient with this office. Everyone that I came into contact with at this notice was exceptional and made me feel very comfortable. However, the scheduling method to make a new appointment was awful. My referral was sent back in November and I just saw the dr last week middle of May. The scheduler never answered her phone and returned calls with 1-3 business days. When an individual works it is impossible to keep the phone available for 1-3 business days. I finally called the office and spoke with someone who notified me that they would reach out to the scheduler and the manager, then I received a call within 2 hours. But again, everyone at this office was exceptional!
