He makes patients who have been coming to this practice for 15+ years have appointments every three months or six months even though they previously was only coming once per year for 13+ years. Seems unnecessary if there are no changes or no problems. He has problems with his video and audio at times. His demeanor is not very engaging.

Dr Esang is amazing. A psychiatrist with empathy, compassion, and who is supportive beyond medicine has been rare to find in my experience. I am happy to have found him. Thank you.

He is a highly rated and respected provider however when I presented with extremely bad depression, I wasn't given care or a timely followup because he wanted to do a genetic test and get the results back. I will have to follow up and try to get a sooner visit because obviously I am in need of immediate help and two months is a ridiculous and dangerous timeline to begin treatment.

Dr. E is an excellent provider. He is great to work with and incudes me and my opinion in my care plan. The staff at the office is amazing! They are friendly and welcoming and greet me by my name when I walk in.

Dr esang changed my life. He met me in the worst state of my life, I was struggling with grief, unmedicated mental illness and undiagnosed adhd. He was receptive to my concerns, listened, while still educating on risk factors instead of doing what I wanted, we compromised. I simply would not be alive, and living with no depressive symptoms and being able to manage the loss of [ ] without him. He doesn’t push meds, he brings it in conversation, he doesn’t push diagnosis or labels, he just notes a problem and he attempts to solve it. I would recommend him to anyone, who wants to see a change in their life. I no longer live with daily suicidal ideation, I no longer live scatter brained and anxious & I got a valid diagnosis for what I’ve been struggling with my entire life. I could not imagine where I would be without Dr esang, his team and Mymichigan health.

This provider and staff made me feel welcome and not rushed upon walking in the door. Dr Esang was very attentive and helped me with a plan not only for the day of the visit but for the next several weeks with a follow up phone visit that is more convenient for me. Very grateful and pleased with this office.

Dr Esang is a compassionate psychiatrist. Beyond balancing the best medications to help with mental well being, Dr Esang has empathy and connection with patients more so than I have experienced with previously seen psychiatrists.

Dr. E is very kind and caring. He explains things in a simple way for me to understand. When I feel like I am failing emotionally, is not turning to medication immediately. He uses other options first but stays in touch to check on my progress. His staff is always so very kind and willing to help any time I call.

This is hands down the most informative and helpful psychiatrist that I have came across. I had a very negative viewpoint about psychiatrists until I came across Dr. Esang, he looks at the whole picture, listens, and genuinely seems to care very much, unlike most psychiatrists I’ve came across with the majority appearing to be cold, callus, and disassociated from the challenges you try to manage on a daily basis. He was very empathetic and open to ideas.

Dr. E is great, he has listened to all of how I’m feeling emotionally, how it is affecting multiple aspects of my life including home, work, life overall. He shows deep compassion and so far I’ve only had 1 visit. I’m so glad I went to see him. Other psychiatrists have always brushed off my symptoms. He’s actually trying to find what works for me. I know it may be a long journey, but as long as he’s in my corner I know I’ll be okay.

Caring, listens and explores many diagnosis’s that are often ignored in women’s mental health. Strategically prescribes medications based on previous reactions, pros and cons, and safely. Checks on patients, and ensures comfortability, provides options of medications. 10/10 would recommend and will forever see him even if insurance refuses to cover. Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my mental health medications

Dr. Esang is, by far, one of the best Psychiatrists I have come in contact with, both personally and professionally. He is very easy to talk with, personable, and knowledgeable. He actively listens and problem solves any concerns you may have, usually finding answers by the end of the session or soon there after.
