What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
It took some months to get into see him but once I was there he was very positive and explained the surgery to me. I realize it's not his fault that the time thing but it was an issue with my health. Because of my parathyroid, I believe my heart health was affected as well as my Osteoporosis. He did eventually take very good care of me.

He's over worked having to wait 2 to 4 months for surgery is ridiculous. I don't feel good and worry everyday which puts more stress on my brain fog and other symptoms and making me more sick I have more bad days in a month than good days get this man some other surgeons to take up some of the work load.

Dealing with MM and the portal is NOT fun. Dr. S's assistant (Victoria) deserves commendation. Impressive. No vitals equipment in BC office? Never heard of that before. Did not impress. The new receptionist at Dr. S's office in Midland (? Michelle) was very friendly and helpful. She made my appointment and was so interested in being helpful. She's definitely a keeper. Her voice speaks smiles. Dr. S is definitely patient oriented. Listens. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Knew my history before he walked into the room. We are lucky to have him. [Name]

He's a great doctor but I waited 2.5 month to get an appt. I am really sick with hyperparathyroidism and my pth is through the roof but still waited and now waiting another 3 weeks for an mri then will discuss surgery in the mean time my symptoms are bad to the point that I am not fuctioning to maintain my active life style. It's crap. I had [Hospital] in [State] and I would have been seen asap. Care here in Michigan is horrible.

He’s professional, with twenty plus years experience with Thyroid-connected symptoms, biopsy, and treatments. Great feedback to my questions and made me feel that he was “all in” with my case. All staff were very supportive and professional as well. ♥️

Dr. Is very thorough. Takes time with you to explain. Looks over your history before you come in for your appointment. I fully expected I would have to tell him why I was there but happily did not. Overall I was very impressed.
