Have been seeing Dr. Schefkind for over 15 years, and he's Always been very mild mannered, always well dressed ( now he's in Scrubs ) which to me , he looks more Relaxed ! The overall treatment of this Doctor is Exceptional, I Highly recommend him !!!!

Everyone in the office was very welcoming and very professional. I did not have to wait past my appointment time can often happen at a doctor's office. The results of my eye exam were explained to me and felt comfortable asking any questions I had. I'd definitely recommend this practice to anyone needed and ophthalmologist.

He is the best! Dr. Schefkind and his well trained staff have established an organized routine to serve well the many patients scheduled every day. When he meets with you after you have had a thorough screening by staff, he looks you in the eye and tells you what is going on, answers your questions and suggests future steps. Best remark he can make is “ see you in a year!

Dr. Schefkind did my cataract surgery. I was given written materials about the procedure and a clear schedule. All my questions were answered and the surgery went well. My vision is clear. I was not surprised because he has been my eye doctor for many years and I have always felt confident with his work.

Dr Schefkind is a really understanding and thorough doctor who doesnt just give me his one course of action but rather describes an approach to try one method/treatment, but allows for Plans B and C right from the outset. I like that.

We had a very good discussion about the cataract slowly forming over my right eye. His recommendation was to hold off on surgery for another year because right now any improvement would be barely noticeable. I found this to be reasonable and helpful, especially given my advanced age of 82.

Dr. Schefkind has been my "go to" Opthamologist for about ten years now. I recently needed cataract surgery with him, and it just could not have gone better. I felt totally informed up front about my options, the process, and what I need to do to prepare. Dr. Schefkind's staff is very efficient and informative, and The Walker Lane Surgical Center and everyone I encountered there made it a very smooth process. I could not be happier or more grateful to Dr. Schefkind, his staff, and the surgical center for his ongoing care, and for making this experience a positive on.
