Dr. Schmidt may be a bit clinical, but I don't care and I'm here for it! Very thorough, great tips, shared her professional opinion openly but still open to what other docs have figured out with you. Used to go to UF Health where you see a resident and they're always changing, only one resident have I ever loved how they went about treating my mental health. She's also trying to figure out other things, like possible sleep issues. Always asking how much sleep I've been getting, and can't wait till she's seen me enough to have a firm diagnosis. Love how I don't even have to go in person (unless I need a scheduled drug). Also advised me on how to get help for my father whom I live with (and go to trauma counseling because of), so not only helping me directly, but also indirectly. Feels very productive each visit.

Listen more to patients. Providing trauma informed culturally responsive services is a continuum, but stop going through your screen item by item. Listen to the patient and fill in as much as you can from what you hear and then ask additional questions if the patient didn't give you all the answers you need for your intake/follow up write up.

Open discussion about mental health concerns with both give and take. Caring attitude of therapist and professionalism of office staff. Waiting time was minimal. Office was clean and smelled good with more than adequate ventilation and privacy in the individual offices.
