Dr. Widman is very friendly, relying on the latest guidelines in her practice of medicine. I have noticed my last couple visits at the end of the dictation it said I had a telehealth visit, when it was an in-person one...so that's not quite accurate. This is probably a MyMichigan policy, but it was also quite frustrating that when I went to get my pre-visit labwork a week ahead of time for my last visit, the date for it was attached to another visit I used to have scheduled later in the month; and the lab couldn't do the lab work that day without someone from Dr. Widman's office reordering it earlier, and no one was in the office that day from Dr. Widman's office...I wasted about 2 hours of my day trying to get this released and lab work done that day to no avail. This one-week policy seems very restrictive & the fact that no one (lab personnel, office receptionists?) can go in and release the orders even if they can see that someone truly has an appointment set up within a week.

This was my first appointment with Dr Widman. I was totally impressed. I could tell she took the time to totally review my medical history. She was not only extremely knowledgeable, but exceptionally kind. I really appreciated her comments and suggestions. I feel so confident knowing she will be taking care of my medical needs.

Dr Widman’s kind and gentle nature takes away the anxiety I may feel about any situation or concerns I have. She is very thorough and keeps good track of vaccines and things needed for my age group for me. She listens to understand and is always professional. I can make my appointment for my yearly physical a year in advance so I don't have to worry about getting in. She is always on time for her appointments
