I saw this Doctor because I needed a clearance for cataract surgery. Everyone was very nice and professional.

This was the first time I have met Laura. Typically I see Dr. Sallach. Laura focused mostly on my weight. She did not ask me how my medication was working, if I had had any issues with my heart since my last check up. She only asked if I had any swelling in my hands and feet. She checked them, listened to my heart and proceeded to tell me I need to go to a gym a minimum of 3 days a week. When I told her that I try to walk at work, I only use the stairs vs the elevator and take the long ways around to increase my steps she more or less scoffed and reminded me to go to the gym. I have been working with my PCP on my weight issues, which is documented in my EMR but I guess that was overlooked and I wasn’t asked. Over all I feel like I wasn’t listened to and she didn’t really take time to properly prepare for my visit. As always the staff was lovely. Beautiful center! Terrible provider.

In her summery she stated that I was resistant to teaching. I think I tuned out when it became obvious that didn’t believe what I told her about my symptoms. I felt that she was rather condescending.
