I had been in the emergency room at Fairview Southdale a few days before this appointment with the surgical consultant and he did not, I had multiple tests, ultrasound, CT scan and so forth and during the meeting he really did not reference those tests at all or the test results. So I had a question as to whether he even really looked at them. But that was really the only part of it that I thought fell short of what it should have been.

The entire care team was great from my pre-op nurse to the anesthesia team and my surgeon. I felt prepared before my surgery, and felt prepared to go home after my surgery.

This was my first major surgery and the team made me so comfortable and explained everything they were doing. If I ever need a procedure again, I can only hope it’s with this team.

It took me some extra time in post-op to be prepared to go home (more than the usual patient I suspect). The staff in the PACU were great.

I guess I'm still, or I'm wondering how long it will take to have the surgery, whether it's a week out after I decide to do it, or is it a month out, or is it three months out? That's one concern I have. And that's pretty much my concerns. I was happy with Dr. Laguna.

Enjoyed the visit with Dr Laguna. Scheduling the surgery was fairly simple. Amy, the scheduler, was pleasant and accommodating.

I believe my nurse was Mary? She was very friendly and so was the male staff. The anesthesiologist was very helpful and friendly. Dr Laguna was also helpful after surgery and addressed most of my concerns.

Parking is difficult unless you valet. My wife has mobility issues and from the parking facilities to reception is a long walk. I dropped her in front of the building then drove to park. However after surgery she had to get the car which was not easy for her to do.

Dr. Laguna was extremely helpful and I appreciated the amount of time with him. The amount of time it took to get the initial appointment was over four months and that just seemed kind of nuts for just a basic consultation before I even started the process. Thanks. You're welcome.

Dr Luguna was excellent and took the time to answer questions and provide details of what was wrong as to the hernia and what causes and when I might want to consider surgery but gave me time to think and not worry about it being an immediate concern but to watch it.

Dr. Laguna was excellent. He looked at me directly as we visited. He didn't just keep his concentration on typing in the computer, as I have experienced elsewhere. He has such a positive, warm demeanor. He listened, and answered all of my questions. I left feeling very good, knowing what to expect in my continued healing, knowing what my current limitations are, and learned how and when to keep improving as the days go by.

Megan, the intake roomer, was a very, very polite and nice person. I really appreciated her gentle touch and the ease of conversation. I felt very comfortable under her care, period. Dr. Laguna was wonderful. He explained everything very clearly. He took his time. He made sure that I understood everything. Wait to see provider was quicker than expected. Staff was 'nice' enough, but seemed to be just doing their job. Provider was great! Very friendly. Very patient with all the questions I had.

I do wish I would have hear from the weight loss clinic sooner. Also parking is such a disaster, especially for those of us with limited mobility.

From check-in, the operation, to checking-out; it was a very easy process. The staff was very helpful and provided easy to understand information. My one suggestion was providing nutritional information for post-surgery recovery. Having the staff nutritionist recommend Do & Do Not lists of foods would be nice to have as I recover over the next 4 weeks.
