Dr. Beltinck is a great doctor - so easy to discuss my questions and concerns with him. The people in this area are very blessed to have such a great surgeon available to us.

Dr. Beltinck is an excellent surgeon. He has done two arthroscopic surgeries on my left shoulder, which included an upper bicep tear, and one arthroscopic surgery on my right shoulder, including an upper bicep tear. After all three surgeries, I made a 100% full recovery. Although, I had to do my part by going to occupational therapy, doing all of my home exercises, and abiding by the restrictions and recommendations given to me. I have complete confidence in Dr. Beltinck and, if I ever needed surgery again within his expertise (which he does many), I would definitely follow up with him to do it. Something worth noting about Dr. Beltinck is, he doesn’t encourage surgery unless absolutely necessary. He tries conservative measures first, which is what he did with me. He offered steroid injections when I was in a lot of pain and he referred me for physical therapy, all before discussing surgery as a last resort. I would recommend him to anyone, including friends and family.

The office staff to set up the appointment was very rude and dismissive of questions I had over the phone. Very hard to get an appointment at this office as my son was seen at urgent care for a possible fracture. The office staff as we came into the office was rude like we were interrupting them before sliding the glass to actually talk to us. The nurse came in asked some questions wasn’t real personable. Then walked out in the hallway they were discussing problems and about patients we could hear them complaining about what they were dealing with. I would see the doctor again he was very nice and knowledgeable but dealing with everything to see the actual doctor it would lead me to seek treatment somewhere else. We sat and waited for the doctor to come in the room and my son and I said wow the staff complains a lot. I told my son it seems like the entire office is not very happy about doing their jobs. Very disappointing. The doctor was very nice though.

My husband and I have both had Dr. Beltinck as our doctor. My husband for his ankle and me for both of my shoulders, so we know Dr. Beltinck very well. We both tell everyone how great Dr. Beltinck has been for us. We highly recommend Dr. Beltinck for any orthopedic problems they might need. He is a great surgeon, has great bedside manners and knows what he is doing. We are grateful that we have him in Alpena and we hope he continues to stay here. God bless him for sure.
