Took a little bit to warm up to her. But once we got to know each other, it was a great relationship. She remembers things the joke and cut up, which I love. She's just all around a very good person and down-to-earth. I love that about her.

Listen to your patients. Most of us know our bodies. My doctor at the hospital said my lungs sounded okay because it's not bacterial pneumonia, but I know when it's hard for me to breathe and I don't feel that concern was taken seriously by Ms. Norman. I knew something wasn't right, that's why I was at the doctor. Who knows what could have happened if I had waited Ten days as instructed. Especially having an autoimmune disease, which the provider was also aware of, I get sicker than most when I come down with something.

I recognized Kathy as someone who I'd met before. That was from when she worked at the same office prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. (I believe she said that was about 15 or 16 years ago.) She also recognized me. That made me feel an immediate rapport with her and I appreciated that a great deal. Even without that connection, I believe Kathy would be a wonderful PCP for anyone.
