My first impression walking into and being greeted by Joseph. Very professional, Excellent Customer Service & Customer Focused. He shared the logistics and gave me an overview of what my visit there would be like. He also checked on me while waiting, to assure I was ok, because I arrived 30 minutes prior to my appointment. Very impressed with the cleanliness & layout of each area and the friendliness of the staff I interacted with during my appointment! I love Dr. Antunez because he was very thorough and personable. Thank you so much for your time and taking the time to answer my questions. Entering M D Anderson Care Center for the first time was unsettling. While I do not have a cancer diagnosis at that time, I recently lost my baby brother to cancer (CLL which transformed to Richter's) so my trepidation was heightened. Every single staff member, whether in direct communication or in passing, was friendly, helpful and spoke from a voice of genuine cordiality. Dr. Antunez is not only brilliant but so compassionate and caring. He genuinely listened to my concerns, expressed true sympathy for the loss of my brother, delved into all the medications in my chart accumulated over the years to remove those no longer applicable and educated me so much on the mechanics and intricacies of the different organs and related areas. Honestly, I was fascinated and learned so much from him. I appreciate that he did not schedule a host of procedures but instead is applying an approach of one procedure, review the results and then determine if additional testing is needed. He also validated my concerns and invited me to not hesitate to contact his office (hm) with any questions, new issues, etc. before my scheduled return visit. I walked out feeling seen and heard which was everything!

The experience I had with the PA in hematology was excellent. She provided clear, thorough explanations and helped me to understand my results in a way that finally made sense to me.
