Finding Dr Vu was a homerun. Aside for the great bedside manner, etc., his positive attitude was quite refreshing. My position has always been cure/stable disease rather than palliative care. His thinking matched mine. Perfect. Eight years into this jerky roller coaster ride and I am certainly not giving up.

The inspiration [attitude] of MDAnderson's staff at all levels is a most welcoming as one enters the building........... As I have told a number of my friends and family " I have never met a MDAnderson staff member who was not openly happy" The Boy Scout motto comes to mind: kind, courteous, etc. Thank you MDAnderson for choosing such fine persons for your staff. Dr.Vu was wonderful. He took time to discuss the disease process, the diagnosis, the prognosis, treatment options. Very down to earth and didn’t talk over our heads. Raegen the nurse navigator also took time to explain her role, gave us her card and we left feeling like could call her if we needed help with anything.
