Communication and understanding of our conversation and explanations of my health gave me the confidence and knowledge to make personal choices regarding options in my health care. I love Dr. Dowda - she is always so patient with my exuberant [age] year-old. If my son doesn’t feel comfortable with something, she will either do it to herself or to me in order to make him feel better. An example of this would be my son was afraid to have her look in his mouth. Instead of giving up, Dr. Dowda showed him that it was not scary by looking in my mouth
