I feel that the staff and doctors listen to me and provide me with adequate information about my skin. I just was frustrated by waiting for about 15 minutes in the lobby and then waiting for about 10 more minutes for the doctor.

Visit with the nurse practitioner was great as always. I did want to share that I found the nurse to be curt, bordering on rude, during the check in. She asked me why I was there, I let her know for my 6 month full body skin check, and then said that wasn’t clear in the appointment. Her tone implied that it was my error or fault that the appointment, which I made after my last 6 month appointment, was my error. I then heard her talking about it in the hallway outside of my exam room. It made me feel uncomfortable.

The staff is personable, the facility is clean, PA Jessica is wonderful and her assistant as well. I felt comfortable throughout. This was my third cancer screening and we all have a good idea what to expect. Check in was smooth. I am not a fan of the new "hold credit card" or "make a deposit". When I called prior to the appointment, I wasn't connected to D&A but some other company who couldn't tell me whether the deposit could be check or had to be cash. I ended up spending 20 minutes getting cash I didn't need, since they did take a check. I only get one "free" cancer screening a year and do not want my card held by companies and the risk of breaches for that one time a year.

You were delayed 58 minutes to let me in the office. Even if this survey is anonymous, this delay will help you figure out what client this is. Please take this into consideration: you were more than “late” yet, you want to charge people who are late +15 minutes even if you continue seeing patients and you can just bump the late patient to the end. Please think about this. Thank you.

It appears I was billed incorrectly. Your setup gives zero care for staff to attempt to understand copay’s. Your practice is very collect money now, ask questions later. Excited to get my $95 back from your office once my explanation of benefits clears. I love how I have to wait for that to clear to even get my money from you.

Visit with Jessica was excellent, as always. Wait time was long and I spent 20+ minutes sitting in a gown in the exam room.

I arrived 15 min early for my appointment. I was not called back until 45 minutes after my appointment time. I then waited another 15 min in the examining room. The assistant was very apologetic, but the PA never acknowledged that I waited an HOUR to be seen. I expect that things may run 10-15 min late, not an hour and certainly not without acknowledgement or apology.

The appointment was for my mother who had a painful rash on her face. The appointment was subpar but what was unacceptable was the difficulty it was to get the medication prescribed. We had called the pharmacy numerous times and there was no prescription for my mother. We called the office also numerous times only to be told that they would leave a message for the team. The prescription was finally made to a pharmacy that was not the pharmacy we were told would be at. After 48 hours of waiting and finally getting the medication it actually made her rash worse.

I had a horrible facial reaction in which my face was swollen beyond recognition. You all got me in within 2 hours and gave me your full attention and care. You all communicated with my other care givers to the point I didn’t have to try and explain the situation to multiple people. Thankfully I started to shrink 😂 the next day, but I didn’t have to call because you all checked in on me. I’m so grateful for you all’s concern and attention. Thank you, CFL

I have met with Dr. Jessica Ackerman once before and had a great experience. However, this visit was incredibly disappointing. After my initial intake, I could hear the nurse outside the door informing Dr. Ackerman about the reason for visiting, and there was laughter. It very well could have been about something else, but it was still uncomfortable to hear. When Dr. Ackerman came in and examined me, every question I asked was often met with blank stares and silence. Perhaps it was the quality of my questions, I don't know exactly, but a simple yes or no would have sufficed. Most insulting was the pharmacy never even received the ointment prescribed. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I will not be seeing Dr. Ackerman again if I return to Dermatology and Aesthetics at all. I will be writing a Yelp review detailing my experience.
