I was scared to death to get my eyes dilated. The initial technician made me feel so comfortable and explained in detail how I would feel, react, and what exactly she was going to do, it was spot on. Dr. Fine also explained to me the procedure and made me feel at ease. Fortunately, I only had to get 1 eye dilated, which made it even easier. I'm going back to get the other eye done in 1 month. I've never in my life had an eye exam like that. So very thorough. My heart didn't beat out of my chest when I was done. Thank you to the entire staff for making me feel so comfortable.

Dr Fine is very professional, respectful ,kind thoughtful while examining and explaining thoroughly in a way that the patient understands their conditions. He explains what has/ or can be done with their situation to correct or alleviate the suffering. He is Concerned with the patient getting better. I remember the first time I saw him with a detached retina, he saw the urgency in correcting the situation. He did not have an opening and knowing how urgent I needed to be attended he gave my case to an associate he asked his associate who had an opening to see me. When my insurance was delaying the approval of the case, he reminded about the urgency as I was about to lose my eye. The surgery was successful and I give thanks to God who used Dr Fine in correcting the situation and saved my eye. I am grateful to Dr Fine and the NJ Retina group for the work they are doing for humanity.. I have only one good eye which I was about to lose when I walked in to 10 Plum Street NJ Retina office. The office procedure done in the office that evening did not work. The next visit is when I met Dr Fine who was very kind to me he stretched his hand and shook my hand. He examined my eye and explained what was happening and what was to be done urgently in order to save my eye. Dr Fine encouraged me when I asked what were the chances of success. He told me that the chances of success was 90something I was not getting it. That was seven years ago. I saw him one week, two weeks, three weeks, every month, three months, six months and now I see him every year. Dr Fine moved from Plum Street office and I followed him to Edison James Street office.. I feel he knows my case and understands my fears. There is still something else to be done in the eye but I follow his advice that as long as I have the 2020 vision we will hold off the procedure. May the lord bless Dr Fine and continue to increase him in knowledge , wisdom and intelligence in the work he is doing saving peoples sight.

Dr Fine’s surgical skill and his professionalism are second to none. His entire staff at three offices I have visited are top notch as well. I had successful macular hole surgery and regained 95% of my vision in an eye that could not see much. Than you to this wonderful doctor who explained every step of the surgery and recovery/ follow up.
