The assistant was very kind, respectful and professional. She was the best in take person that l have experienced at Surfside!Dr. Hanekom is extremely knowledgeable about current medical research related to concerns that l had. He clearly explained my blood tests results and compared them to prior lab draws. Dr. Hanekom is an excellent provider who engages the patient in health decisions. I appreciate the doctor-patient relationship that we have. He is a valuable asset to the Lee Health system!

Dr. Hanekom has the best "bedside" manner of any GP I've had over my long life thus far. I don't even believe it is just an attempt at bedside manner....I'm confident that it is genuine. Just outstanding on his knowledge, engagement and concerns for any and all issues I raise. I literally would change my insurance, and follow him to a different practice if he ever decides to leave Lee Health.

Without doubt Dr Hanekom is excellent in his duties. I will be 89 soon and in that time my experience s have been good but Dr H is so comforting and assuring. He takes his time to explain and advise. We moved permanently to Florida and feel blessed he is our GP.
