I had a remarkable first appointment experience at Baptist MD Anderson. Everyone I came in contact with, from the scheduler all the way to meeting my doctor, are all genuinely caring people. While Dr. Hand is such a thoughtful professional. Her attention to my situation gave me a great deal of confidence. She explained my medical procedure in such detail giving me a clear and comprehensive understanding. I feel blessed to be a patient at MD Anderson.

Everyone we passed as we walked to and from my appointment spoke to us and wished us a Merry Christmas or just said good morning, have a nice day. The nurses were so nice and explained procedures to us and what their roles were in my care. The First Lady I spoke with in the financial office was very easy to talk to and helpful in explaining what was going to happen. I loved Dr. Hand! She spoke to me without be condescending but explaining things that were necessary in terms that I understood. She made me feel like I was visiting with a close friend. I feel so much better even though my cancer is spreading at this time. I wish I lived close enough to have her as my full time doctor.
