Dr. Wanko treated me respectfully and professionally throughout my time of care. He respected my choices about particular aspects of my care and supported me in those. He took time to listen to my concerns as far as timing of hospital discharge, and very reasonably advocated for an additional day of stay so that pain and electrolytes could be better controlled before going home. This additional day in the hospital contributed significantly to my ability to care adequately for myself once I was at home - I am the only adult at home and responsible not only for my own care but for the care and schooling of my adolescent child.
When I saw Dr. Wanko in the office for follow-up, he was unhurried and willing to take time to thoughtfully answer my questions.
Although I hope to not need surgery again in my lifetime, I would happily see Dr. Wanko again.

As I just wrote, I am very thankful for all their help and support. Also for the tools helping to give me control over my weight and learning the changes that I needed to make to keeping the weight off. Which matters. Why? With the support and educational materials I have been given and learned from them I am now able to feel better and live a healthier life.
