Dr. Byrnes is absolutely the best! His medical competence is obvious, but he also takes the necessary time with his patients to understand their unique situations. It is crystal clear he cares for his patients and provides nothing less than his absolute best. You are much more comfortable when your doctor is always smiling and personable, ensuring he connects with you.

I’m an artist, and he understands how important that is to me. He’s a wonderful doctor. I have macular degeneration which he treats with eye injections. He’s extremely gifted when applying the injections to make sure that I’m comfortable.

Dr. Byrnes and team at the Retina Group of Washington provided on-time, professional care during my recent visit. I was greeted promptly by the front desk staff, given new forms to update my insurance and points of contact information. I was then seen by the technician who examined my sight and placed the dilation drops into my eyes (this allowed the rest of the process to proceed on time). Next stop was with a photographer who was excellent in taking pictures of my eyes. I waited a reasonable amount of time in a comfortable waiting area until Dr. Byrnes was able to commence his exam. Dr. Byrnes showed me the issue, assured me nothing had changed since the last visit, and said no need to follow-up with him unless I noted any change for 12-18 months. All in all, a superb visit by a very professional and well organized service.
