Always a good experience at NJ Retina. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Altar I has a great bedside manner. He is easy to talk to and he explains everything.

Dr. Alfaro was great, as usual. He is caring, sensitive, explains everything so we can understand clearly and is just so nice. My husband and I both saw him. We are sad he will be we working out of another of your offices in the future. It is too far for us to travel. We know all of your doctors are good.

The waiting period is usually long. The staff competent and friendly. Far too many patients for enough time to ask many questions and get substantive answers.

when making appointment with NJ Retina i explained my anxiety condition and specifically requested a doctor who would be compassionate and considerate of my fears. Dr. Alfaro was very kind, personable and made my appointment very comfortable. i was very happy and felt Blessed to have Dr. Alfaro care for me & my eyes.

I thought the Dr. was excellent and very knowledgeable, the male nurse was great also. It was a good choice for me since I always went to their other office in Wayne, I cannot say anything bad about it. Great group!

I was able to get an appointment the next day when I called with a possible retina issue. There was a very small wait time, the two technicians who administered the tests were friendly and professional. I was nervous about having a serious issue and they were excellent about making me feel comfortable and were very kind. The doctor was very thorough and gentle. He explained everything in a way I could understand. He was excellent. The woman who checked me out was also extremely friendly and kind. I am so happy to have been referred to this practice. They are excellent.
