Dr Hekmatjou is always willing to hear me out and on listen to what I am trying to explain to her on what my symptoms are. How intense they have been since my accident and how overwhelming it has been for me dealing with the symptoms. And trying to figure out the proper treatment and root cause of my diagnosis. She i very patient with me when I know I can be hard to handle at times. She hasn't thrown in the towel and said there is nothing I can do, or it's all in your head or I don't know what to tell you. She listens to my concerns and actually takes what I am saying to heart and wants to help me. That is something that you cannot learn in med school. That is something that you are born with and taught at a very young age and that is empathy for other around you. I am very thankful for all that she has done for me in the last 6 months.

Dr. Hekmatjou was very good a drawing out information that pertained to my health. This was my first meeting with her. Yet I left with the feeling that she as much about me as my previous doctor that I had been seeing for 8 yrs.
