I love love the two ladies at front desk ! Always acknowledge myself and husband by name. They are always smiling! My Dr Avila-Lima is my life coach literally! She doesn’t leave any stone unturned. She knows my body better than myself. I trust her and the knowledge she has! I can’t say enough! Her PA Callie is no different. She always answers me back sometimes in minutes but always within an hr. We are attached at the hip! I have never any doubt whether I see Dr Lima or Callie they are one and the same!

Good Morning, I love everything about my care because of my doctor and nurses who answered every question with honesty. If they didn’t know the answer they made sure before I left they had the answer. We don’t always know the answer to every question but be honest about it. It’s only one person that knows everything🙌🏾

Dr. Lima: She listened to my concerns and addressed each one. I felt heard after feeling like no one was listening and feeling like you have no other options. I left feeling like I finally have some choices I can make for my body. Dr Lima gave me case study information regarding my concerns to read and educate myself in order to make the best decision for me. I truly, thank her for the time she spent with me. We need more Doctors like her.

Everyone at MD Anderson is so friendly and helpful. The entire staff from the time you come through the door all the way from appointments, scheduling, check in, check out and any staff you meet, it shows they are there for the right reasons. Their compassion and understanding is second to none. They are wonderful people with the biggest hearts. Thank you to everyone. This journey took me from start to now and through to the end with a team of workers who all work so very well together. I have never been so comfortable with my doctors and their advice guiding me through my surgery. Dr. [last name] is an excellant surogeon, follow up doctor Dr. Lima gave me all my options and explained everything so well and no pressure. Kristiana was great with pre procedure and finding the answers for my many questions, Amanda was great at keeping me up to date with my scheduling for surgery.Dr [last name] is my follow up care. She is sunshine on a cloudy day. So caring and understanding. Even when she is busy, she takes time with all my needs. I am so happy she will be advising me going forward for the next couple years! Everyone is very professional and friendly. When I first came to check in, the attendant could tell I was upset. She asked "Can I give you a hug"? She hugged me and said "You're going to be ok." That was the start. From that moment on, Everyone was just Great! I was nervous and scared when I walked in, but felt Sooooooo much better when I left! Thank you!

When I met Dr Avila-Lima, she stated she had reviewed my chart the previous day which was impressive. Dr Avila-Lima listened to me about all the side effects that occurred with the medications I was previously prescribed by another MD. She did not rush the appointment. She prescribed another medicine, and wants to follow up with me in 6 weeks to see how I am tolerating the new med. I would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking breast cancer care.

Grateful for Dr. Avila-Lima’s excellent care of not only things medical but of mind and soul as well. Treatment is hard but so is the return to something resembling “normal” once active treatment ends. The kindness and support of the entire crew on the 7th floor has been excellent.
