I did appreciate that he knew my medical history and what brought me here. He read my chart and knew about me. He took the time that so many other doctors don’t do anymore. I really appreciate that and feel like he cares and I’m not just another surgery for him.

This comment relates to reception area and not any connection to Dr. Ponder’s office. Part of staff needs training on interaction with patients—eye contact, looking up from screen, smiling. May have been new at job.

Dr Ponder was awesome and the PA, also. However the initial process of trying to get a surgery date scheduled was unduly cumbersome and unresponsive. After several phone messages both to the answering service and to the attending nurse after many many weeks beyond the five weeks I was told I would need to wait I was assigned a date that was ridiculously delayed. I was scheduled for 6 months later after having waited 5 weeks to receive this date. Thankfully one of the nurses intervened and appealed the date and I was given a date about three months earlier
