I can spell cancer and oncology. But that is all I know about their complexity and treatment. Starting with Dr [last name] and the surgery I cannot say enough on how well that came off. Rapid discharge and swift recovery. Oncology is layered in so many drugs and interaction Dr Changela is at the helm guiding me thru. Infusion nursing support super people, professional compassionate supportive especially Alexa and Katherine. The front line support team for therapy appreciated. I had a setback with abdominal pain and was admitted using the triage call center and was rapidly admitted. Post admit Baptist. South within 24 hours hospitalist, infectious disease talked and presented Drug Bentyl which worked. Dr Changela backed the need for admission as a real risk existed with chemo no fever. This is a tremendous team of professionals working on my behalf and greatly acknowledged by myself and my wife.

Facility, nursing staff and front office friendly, supportive. Dr Changela is my Oncologist and driver behind my chemo. The second meeting with her, uncovered the cancer was abnormal from a normal pancreatic cancer under microscopy. The thing about MD Anderson Baptist is the network of care. This information above about the cancer asks more questions. She immediately setup a Petscan to determine if that lesions abnormal cancer is rogue and traveled. This entirely in my uneducated opinion is the best option. Check, identify and collaborate. What that means in terms of chemo…? The point is she is asking and looking for answers and its too early to say what chemo until the threat is known.. The Tumor Board also was revealed which places my case before a learned caring group of cancer specialist. The outcome will be whatever and I in no way can I impact that. With her and Dr [last name] working this, I am blessed. It will be what it will be and time will tell. Dr Changela is driving, The board willl moderate, all that above is caring, and what makes MD Anderson a haven for cancer victims.
