One Morning I had a Appointment with my team, when my husband went to park our vehicle, the smoke from a truck made me sick because I have Lung issues anyway by the time I got to my Appointment my check in Lady Gerdine seen something was wrong and asked my husband do he want her to call 911 he replied Yes! I was so impressed from the friends I talked to before my visit that raved about Baptist MD Anderson to meeting the staff and Dr C Johnson. The cancer diagnosis and surgery prognosis I received from the Women’s Imaging and my Dr were totally reversed by the breast experts at MD Anderson. If I didn’t get a second opinion I wonder if I would have had unnecessary surgery and radiation. There are 2 types of crystal clusters one is cancer and one isn’t, but should be watched. If anyone is facing breast cancer surgery please get a second opinion from Baptist MD Anderson, they know everything about breast cancer.

The doctors and nurses and navigators were willing to answer questions. They were willing to listen to my thoughts on the treatments and procedures and diagnosis. That means the world to me to be involved in my own health and treatment plans. I know those are just careers for them; but when you have my kind of diagnosis it’s life or death to me.

I loved my visit with Dr. Johnson! She made me feel so much better with what I was feeling! She’s not an alarmist! She was very knowledgeable about my previous surgery and was confident that a 3 month follow up would be perfect. She also said if I had any concerns before then to contact her.
