I have been planning to switch away from SSM due to insurance changes, and my only hesitation about leaving is that I would be sad to lose Dr. Semanek as my PCP.

I like Dr Semanek; he obviously enjoys being a physician, and is thorough in his approach. I would just mention that he might want to speak slower and more directly (looking at me) during the appointment. He does seem rushed at times, and looks at the computer screen while speaking, which is a bit of a disconnect with me. I am hard of hearing (I wear hearing aids); even so, it is important to look at me when speaking to me, and try to slow down a bit to make sure I hear what he is communicating to me. All told, Dr Semanek is a kind, caring physician who strives to be efficient and tends appropriately to my needs.

The first person that checked my vitals was off on what my blood pressure was. The doctor took it and it was quite a bit different that removed the concern about an elevated BP.

The first time I met with Dr. Semanek I didn’t know what I thought about him, mainly because I so liked and really missed Dr. Kulie. After meeting with him a few more times I have gotten to like, respect, and appreciate Dr. Semanek.
