The actual visit was great and the dermatologist was great with our son. Unfortunately, the front desk staff members (2 of them) seem to have forgotten their roles—we sat for 20 min past our appt start time which was an early morning appointment and they didn’t inform us the doctor was running behind, didn’t acknowledge they were late, didn’t do anything to find out what was going on until I asked and then didn’t inform me of what was happening until I asked again. They didn’t apologize, seemed aloof and talked to each other about other, non-work related topics multiple times as we waited. It was quite surprising.

From start to finish of my appointment I felt welcomed, comfortable and at ease. It was my first derm appointment and Dr.Patel explained everything and made me feel comfortable. 10/10 will be back!

The only issue was that I had a 12:20 appointment and was told to arrive early. The front door was locked as it said they were at lunch so I was stuck outside in the heat

Front desk was great. Dr Patel was nice but didn’t have any real answers for me. Told me the small itchy spot in my armpit was due to dry skin and I should moisturize. MY ARMPIT, like my actual underarm. It’s a tiny red spot the size of a pencil eraser. I said ok… how does this happen so I know what to avoid? She said “we don’t really know. Maybe friction.” Um ok. I should have seen rubenstein or gone to the other location for Dr Neha Robinson. She was great a few years ago. So I got a steroid cream and no answers.

The layout of the room was awkward and needs to be rethought. The exam table is in a bad spot and when the door opens and you have the gown on passerby’s can see you basically naked. The PA and the assistant didn’t know where things were in the exam room which was awkward. There was a lot of bumping into each other and also me. The PA felt VERY rushed in her exam of me. She didn’t see a wart I had on her own, and I had to point it out. This was fine but sorta made me wonder if she had missed anything else. She also was openly criticizing the previous dermatologist at another D&A office I’d been to and their notes about my moles. I saw that as unprofessional and confusing as a patient. Overall visit felt very awkward and I felt misplaced and that the exam room needed to be rethought and layout was horrible for a patient.
