With SSM recently going to cashless it is absolutely stupid that a copay can’t be paid with a check. I understand not having cash in the departments but the fact you can’t accept a check makes no sense and a bill has to be mailed. Some people don’t have debit and credit cards that they can use to pay at the time of check in. Now more money will be spent on mailing a bill as SSM will be using more paper, envelopes, and postage to do so to get a copay. Saving this money could be used to get staff that they desperately need.
