What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
I have recommended Dr. Smits and her support staff to family and friends for being so accessible, they have a quick response to my calls and emails . I needed an unscheduled appointment due to unexpected illness, I was able to see Dr. Smits or her nurse practitioner if Dr wasn’t available, the next day. They recognized it was important to be seen in office as soon as possible. Dr. Smits, and her support staff always take the time to explain and ensure I understand the treatment and new medication etc.

Alexandra is very caring and great fun to interact with. When I mentioned having issues with anxiety, she prescribed a medication that I only need to take when I start feeling overwhelmed, not anything that I could get addicted to or would impair daily functioning. I really appreciated that

Dr. S is amazing and treats her patients like they are family. She ensures that everyone is comfortable and understands what is going on. She asks frequently for clarification so she ensures that she and her patients are engaged in conversation/decision. Wish we had more like her.

Awesome DR. She listens to what you have to say,doesn't rush you out the door for next person, takes her time with you explains your health so you understand what going on..only problem I have is getting someone on the phone to get a scrip takes a lot of call backs till I findly get someone to answer the phone.

I would say I appreciate the care she gives me. I never feel as though I am rushed, yet my appointments are smooth and quick. She will sit, listen, and genuinely discuss concerns i have and a plan to better my health. I would definitely recommend Dr Smits to anyone looking for a genuinely caring provider.

Dr. Smit was wonderful once I got into see her I had a back problem this year and was very discouraged that I could not get into see her. I was referred to the the nurse practitioner [redacted name of other provider] who I did not feel took me seriously. I think I should have been given a referral to a specialist.

Dr. Smits is always so very friendly and attentive. She saved my life and I will forever be grateful. Another doctor had miss diagnosed me and no treatment was given. I saw Dr. Smits a day later and she diagnosed me accurately, placed me on antibiotics and within two days I was feeling better. Without her intervention I would have continued to get worse. I was very ill.
