My husband and I are both Concierge patients. We became concierge because we wanted to follow our favorite of all doctors. He remains the same doctor - just better. Did he study more than usually - we don't think so. Is he more experienced than usual, no. But what has happened to allow him to ratchet up his care level is that he has more time. He can "dial in" to what may be the real problem with his patients, when he had a time limit before. Luckily he caught my husband making an "unserious" remark about his health and asked him to come back and sit down. He lived. Maybe that remark would have been made had there been more time and not a rushed atmosphere that most, if not all patients, are keenly aware of. We don't think so and we are very appreciate of his move. We know it is best for him and us. We don't know if another random doctor would qualify. There should be a method to give them a chance to be intuitive.
