Dr. Vikram Aggarwal has a vast store of knowledge, but also looks for new ways to help patients. And he really cares about his patients. Very lucky that circumstances led to us meeting him as Frank’s nephrologist.

My recommendation is for Dr Aggarwal as I am not qualified to assess "NM Nephrology". Dr Aggarwal gave me the utmost attention and dialogued with me so that he could constructively share his view as a result of my input and his assessment.

Dr. Aggarwal does his homework before my appointment with him. He is always knowledgeable about my history of ckd and my most recent tests, so when I meet with him he is not spending time speed reading my chart, but addresses the issues and gives full and complete answers to my questions. His knowledge is combined with an empathetic understanding of my concerns.

Been doing home dialysis for more than 5 yrs, with all but 11 months of that under Dr. Aggarwal’s care. The first 11 months were chaotic, resulting in 2 hospitalizations related to dialysis issues that the prior clinic & nephrologist didn’t properly diagnose. Luckily, Dr. Aggarwal was making rounds with his students in the middle of the last dialysis-related hospitalization & diagnosed something instantly that all the other doctors had missed. He listens and reacts, using his formidable professional knowledge and acute observations to pick the best adjustments. And as an added blessing, he’s a caring person. Been with him ever since; there have not been any further dialysis-related hospitalizations.

He is always available to answer any questions, assist care collaboration with outside providers and truly makes us feel he genuinely cares about my son’s care. He is proactive at addressing any concerns before they become health concerns and that is so appreciated.

As per above, Dr. Vikram Aggarwal’s excellent. He synthesizes what he’s seeing and hearing with his vast medical knowledge and then creates a plan in a warmly empathetic way. Feel very lucky to have him as nephrologist.
