Initially, I was very hesitant regarding Big toe fusion. Reading everything on line, I had to make a decision: stay in pain, or, get the problem fixed surgically. My choice of many doctors was Dr. York.Best decision, ever! My surgery was seamless. Yes, I had minimal pain the night of surgery; however, I followed the guidelines that Dr. York and his surgical assistant, Matthew, gave to me. Following the directions at hand, I believe, helped me to feel confident that my outcome from this surgery would be successful.

My appointment was about bone health and receiving a prolia injection. She was caring, wanted to know my background since I’m from Texas. Explained why she needed certain blood tests, etc and wanted to ensure I did not miss my next prolia injection and why the importance of sticking with the 6 months injection. I also liked that she told me she would call me with the test results when and what time of day she would call.

The doctor completely ignored my allergen list(despite holding a paper copy in his hand) and exposed me to an allergen, couldn't properly apologize or properly discuss treatment for the potential allergic reaction. He couldn't look me in the eye to apologize. He also caught himself before admitting he just wasn't paying attention to my medical file for allergens.
