He listens to me and my concerns and doesn’t try to refer me to another doctor. We decide together what is the best course of treatment for me and not what is on Google. He is very personable and has a pleasant demeanor.

Dr. Ruben takes time to give full explanations of what is happening and answer questions. I never feel rushed nor treated like I should know these things. He is very knowledgeable and kind.

Dr. Mylvaganam was not only kind and understanding, but he looked at my situation holistically and came up with multiple solutions. He listened thoroughly to all my concerns, questions, and apprehensions and went above and beyond to show he understood where I was coming from and to show my empathy. I cannot say enough good things about him, and I would recommend his care any day.

He was not listening to what I was trying to tell him. He kept assuming symptoms were due to drug side effects, which is very clearly not the case when you look at the timeline. He was not getting it. The main takeaway was just that I need to lose weight, even though I was having my symptoms, including shortness of breath when I get a tiny cold or illness, long before my weight shot up. If there was not already a note in my file flagging me as a 'crazy fat lady,' there probably is one now. He said he does not approve of my rheumatologist or neurologist giving me steroids 'willy-nilly,' but they only do a round of steroid treatments when my pain levels get to an 8 or 9 and aren't going back down. When I say pain at 8 or 9 level, keep in mind that with two pregnancies/births under my belt, I've experienced both an episiotomy and a c-section, and I am not in the business of exaggerating pain levels. So nothing about getting a steroid treatment at that point of pain seems 'willy-nilly.'
