Dr.Karna has been my boysâ€™ pediatrician since they were little. We followed her from mercy to NM. She listens to myconcerns and takes the time to talk to them. Sheâ€™s approachable, down to earth, and keeps them engaged during their visit. Today I let her know we found out our teenager was vaping. She got eye level with our son and took almost 20 minutes asking about why he does it and telling him why itâ€™s unhealthy but at a level he could understand. She was sincere in her approach and he LISTENED which is rare in a teenager. She talked to him about school and what bothers him and encouraged him to have goals and assured him that he will find something heâ€™s passionate about. She easily could have ignored the issue to get to her next appointment but she didnâ€™t and that makes me and my children valued.
