Dr. Desai offers clear guidance allowing me to markedly slow the macular degeneration that has caused much damage in my family. She is acutely aware of the particulars of my case and how treatment interfaces with my continuing activity. Dr. Desai’s attention to details in my symptoms led to a crucial referral to a neuro-ophthalmologist and an excellent out come. Her collaboration with Dr. Mathias has similarly given me confidence that Northwestern Ophthalmology can help me navigate eventual cataract surgery. Taken as a whole, her practice extends beyond her expertise in macular health to collaboration with other specialists to ensure that this patient has a team doing everything it can to.protect my vision in all dimensions.
