I have already recommended Dr. Abbass to several of my friends. He is a great doctor. He is very personable and friendly. He provides a straightforward and comprehensive explanation of his findings and all options available for treatment. I'm very comfortable discussing my symptoms with him. His home care instructions are concise and clear.

I hate going to the doctor. I have horrible anxiety that leaves me unable to eat and with a racing heart every time I have to go to the doctor. Dr. Abbass was the the most gentle and patient doctor that I've ever encountered at Northwestern. He was the first doctor I've ever had introduce himself by his first name and this simple gesture meant so much to me. It felt like I was talking to another human that wanted the best for me instead of a medical conversation. He answered my questions in a way that made me feel fully informed and never once spoke at a level that I couldn't understand. I would absolutely feel confident in recommending him and having him care for my loved ones.

He made me feel immediately comfortable and was happy to include my daughter remotely. He was very frank about my condition but made me feel I was not without hope. He explained the different (and unexpected) problem thoroughly.
