I would give her a 100 if I could. I am HLA-B27 positive but I don't fit into any neat box for AS or any related conditions even though I had inflammatory flares, uveitis, gout, etc. Dr. Mahieu was the first rheumatologist who listened to me and who was determined to reduce my pain. I have a way to go but for the first time I have hope.

Dr. Mahieu was kind and patient with me as I explained my concerns. She gave me a lot of clarity and answers, while also giving me additional resources. I would highly recommend Dr. Mahieu to anyone needing to see a rheumatologist.

Dr Mahieu is very well read and has excellent clinical judgement. She takes an excellent history, listens and asks insightful questions, performs an outstanding physical exam, with careful evaluation of all pertinent joints, and gives options and her recommendations. She is an outstanding physician.

Dr. Mahieu has always made my care a collaborative process. She considers what I say, how I am feeling, and addresses all of my concerns. I never leave my appointment unsure of our next steps. She is communicative and responsive when I reach out.
